Match engine improvements

Hi folks,

I bring you some interesting news today. We have been analyzing the statistics of the matches played so far in PPM football and we have also simulated thousands of matches in our simulator in order to improve the match engine. We have finally decided to make some adjustments. It was not easy though. Every adjustment we make influences other parts of the engine. In the end we were able to find the balance that we are satisfied with. Here is a list of things that we have adjusted:

increased number of shots overall (this means more chances, more goals and also fewer upsets)
decreased number of free kicks
decreased percentage of free kick goals
decreased number of corners
decreased percentage of corner kick goals
decreased number of penalties

All of these changes have been made in order to bring the game closer to reality. We have compared statistics from PPM to statistics from real life football and based the adjustments on that.

The improved engine gives the manager a better control over the results of his/her team. More goals automatically means fewer upsets, but remember that upsets will always be part of the game. It also means fewer draws (especially 0-0 draws). Most importantly, the higher number of shots gives the better team more scoring chances to translate their advantage into goals.

In other news we have made a couple of minor changes. First one is that when you repay the loan prematurely, it doesn't happen immediately. Loans are repaid in 1 hour intervals at the same time when transfers are processed. This is to avoid such cases when the loan was repaid multiple times because the user clicked the button more than once. The second one is that you have to save the changes that you make to training in education center. Until now the page refreshed every time you made a change. This is more user friendly.
