04.12.2012 - With two games under their belt, the newly-named JSF Lightning have soared out of the gate with back-to-back 3-0 wins over Le Royal & Le Rocket de Montréal. Sporting brand new uniforms, the Lightning controlled the play in both games and played a nice passing/possession game.

Leading the offensive charge for JSF Lightning has been newly transferred Chinese striker, Zhao Song, who has scored 3 goals already. Playing alongside Piper has opened up more room for Song and allowed him to play more to his own style. The Lightning midfield have also done a terrific job in controlling play with 4 assists through the 2 games while adding a goal from Noccerino. The backend has been stellar as well, having conceded no goals and even adding a goal from Dellow. Hartland, the English keeper, hasn't been tested often but he's looked sharp in both victories.

With 2 games under the belt, manager ftyoshi has been exceptionally happy with how his team has performed. "Although we're playing in league II.1 right now, these teams are still capable of pulling off upsets. There are some skilled players out there and we are going to approach each game with caution. But our fans! Wow! What a great showing today! Hopefully we can expand our stadium soon since tickets are the hottest in town!"

Fans have taken to the new team name and logo by storm! "The logos are stunning!! The jerseys are wicked!! GO JSF LIGHTNING!!" said one crazy facepainted individual! Jerseys have been flying off the shelves and more will be in stock later this week to cope with demand.

With such a rapid start to the season and die-hard fans, JSF Lightning looks to take the league by storm and hopefully have an impact at the CWC in the upcoming weeks!
