This is where you can set the substitutions during a match and prepare for various situations, which could occur during a match. You can have up to 3 substitutions in a match (6 in a friendly match). Changing the player's position does not count as a substitution. The substitution will only take place if the given player is on the pitch at the given time and if the sub has not yet appeared on the pitch. The substitution will not take place if the sub is set for the position occupied by a different player.

First create a new substitution and set conditions which must be met for the substitution to take place. Then set all the changes that you want to make in case these conditions are met. Click the player you want to move, hold the mouse button and drag the player on the field. If you are dragging player from the bench, put him in the position of the player you want him to substitute. Then you can move the new player on the field to a different position if you want him to play in a different position. All changes that you make are displayed in the list on the right hand side.
