Barbalicious† - The Season of Turmoil
Such a promising season for Barbalicious has turned out to be so far just a struggle to keep out of the playoff relegation spots.
10 games into the season and only 3 games won with the next two a certainty of two more losses Barbalicious is definitely staring down a real struggle to keep out of relegation.
Talking to the manager he had this to say...
"We should have won at least 6 by now but two games that were lock wins ended up draws and a game we dominated all match against the Hill Top Hoods saw us with a huge loss after there sole shot on goal found the back of the net"
The teams promise is still there but it seems the current GK's poor save rate accompanied with the lack of a great striker has left the team floundering. To make matters worse the teams best player has been watching from the stands on the long term injury list. Though the manager believes they will avoid relegation yet...
"Once we get back our star defender and once these teams run out of energy from playing high and very high every match we should be able to squeak out a much better middle and end season and avoid the drop"
All we know is its going to get worse before it gets better with GMP Spitfires and Trueblue United the next two opponents. After that it will be up to the manager to conjure some team magic to keep them on the up.
