The Canadian Senior National team continued their cindrella run in the quarterfinals of the Intercontinental Cup with an upset 2-0 victory over home team Columbia.

The win puts Canada in the semi-final of the Intercontinental Cup for the first time since season 16, where Canada went on to win it all. The win also meant that Canada climbed from 23rd to 14th highest ranked team in the world.

Up next is very difficult semi-final matchup tomorrow against the highly dominant Brazilians. A win would catapult Canada into the finals to face the winner of the other semi-final match between Chinese Taipei and Japan.
