Tomorrow our FC Wittmund will participate in a small international Credit Tournament "Snow Cup" hold by the Danish team [soccer_team=27907]. Our newspaper lack the resources to cover the tournament like we want, so we have to report via this blog about it.

FC Wittmund is in group 1 by lot. The opponent three teams are [soccer_team=7310], [soccer_team=27747] and [soccer_team=6781].

Vyskov is a Czech fourth division team. In the last seasons the team reached single-digit midfield league table. Currently the have some mixed results in the league.

"They have some strong players. It could be difficult to score against their goalkeeper. As long as they don't rediscover their scoring ability, we have a good chance.", commented the FC Wittmund assistant trainer Louis Lions.


Exercitus is a Danish second division team. In the past they have been relegated to the third division and immediately promoted to the second division again. In this season the had a slow start, but seems to be on track again. Incidentally, they are in the same league as the organisator of this tournament.

"They have a good and balanced team. Some of their players could be a real strengthening for our team. But, oh well ...", opined the FC Wittmund manager Jeremy Umlauft.


Karvinsti Loupežníci CF is a Czech fifth division team. They were onced relagated from the fourth to the fifth division and then placed a sinlg-digit league table place. They had an average season start and now in a midfield league table place.

"If we underdestimate them, we will be sorry.", summarized the FC Wittmund trainer Erwin Mack in short.


Just to remember, our FC Wittmund is a German fourth division team. In the first season they barely reached place 10. In he second season they played a strong season and reached place 3. In this season they had a bad start, but are now back on the right path having recently reached place 2 for the moment.

"Well, I think this tournament will be a nice change of pace. It is some of the few chances for a fourth division team like us to gain some international experience.", said FC Wittmund striker Erich Große.

"Our goal is to overcome this group phase. After that we have to see how far we can get.", stated the FC Wittmund team captain Heinrich Christmann.

"This international tournament is a nice logistical and organisational challenge for us. Of course, I hope our team will be successful.", tolded us manager Nguyen.


In our analyse there is no real favorite in this group. The teams are more or less evenly matched. Therefore we can anticipate some hopefully exiting matches. Tommorow we will report from the first group match for our FC Wittmund: Karvinsti Loupežníci CF - FC Wittmund. Hopefully we can report a victory for our FC Wittmund.
