As we currently know, the Saint-Pascal Imperial hockey team had tiny chances to get in Canada's 4th division, 13th league... Fortunately, the commisser of the football league was more than happy to welcome the Saint-Pascal Footballers football club at the beginning of the fourth season of the 11th league in the third division. Some doubted the team would last long seeing the town has a poupulation of 3 504 and already has a hockey club. Yet, the multi-millionaire, Samuel Charest and John Secronom associated together once again to build up this club. They are also sponsored by Quatrefoil Software and Hockey Live. The team consists of the owner and conferencer Samuel Charest, the general manager and coach John Secronom, the physical therapist of the team, Jerome Addison, and the field's maintenance staff member, Marc Racine, plus the twenty players. Their field is the Secronom Field, with a maximum of 400 places for the crowd (note that all or almost all teams in the league have fields with a maximum capacity of 400).
'Well, it's only the beginning. We didn't want to go bankrupt or something only in our first season in the league,' said the general manager John Secronom, 'We are thinking of investing cash in the field during the off season after the League Cup 'tournament'.'
The owner, Samuel Charest, had this to say: 'People might think establishing two sports team in a small town like this one might be madness, but it is a strategical move: the population of the town started to rise since the start of the hockey and football season and it will, I hope, continue to raise.'
The team, after the season, has 17 wins, nine tied games, and 16 loses, totalising a grand total of 60 points in 42 games. They have a ratio of +14, seeing they scored 73 goals against 59. The Footballers ended in ninth position, allowing them to reach the League Cup playoffs. In the first round, they will confront the Flat Footed, which ended one position above Saint-Pascal.
The team captain, Keenan Ross, commented about both the season the the 'tournament': 'I didn't think we would class ourselves in ninth position at the start of the season, and lesser that we would make it to the League Cup. The season was exciting, and I hope the 'tournament' will too. Even if we don't win this year, it will be a good team record for our first year in the league. I wish best of luck to both teams. No matter what happens this year, we will train hard during the off season and come back better than now for the next season.'
