Marion BlueRacers† - Fledgling Owner Expands Roster
Another professional team was brought into Marion, the new Marion BlueRacers start off season 6 with an impressive win on the road. This reporter caught up to Himanoco recently to get his take on things.
"We've been very busy setting up the pitch and getting the squad we have put together. We'll be making some more deals throughout the season to build up our team and staff and also getting our facilities in place to make sure that the wins keep coming in."
When asked how this would affect his struggling hockey franchise, Himanoco had this to say. "Look, I enjoy soccer as much as any other guy and I'm excited to bring another team and the sport to Marion. But truth be told, the hockey franchise is where I started and I spent around a month focused on that before I even started with this new soccer club.
"I'm really confident that this team, in this league, is already off to a bang up start and that's going to spell nothing but success for the future. That will give me the time I need to continue to work on our hockey franchise to make sure that season 10 is a winner for the Steamengines. I was lucky enough to acquire the BlueRacers at the last game of season 5 so I had all that start up money to work with, as well as the money the team was awarded for it's finish to the season. Then I had nothing but time as we played no games during the playoffs so I could get the things I needed to do for that club taken care of. While I'll never be finished, I'm confident we'll see more wins than losses for our Racers."
We'll continue to report on both squads and see what the future has in store for Marion and it's new franchises.
