It's been a long season so far for OAP fans. The season is still young, a mere 17 games in, but they have had enough. The Alphas are sitting 16th in I.1 through 17 games, one win in their last 9 league games. They've notched a pathetic 13 goals and surrendered a respectable 20. During this fan-torturing run of late, fans remained true, supporting their beloved club.

"We are fine with losing right now. We don't like it but we'll accept it. We've been told the team is pushing for a Cup Winners' Cup birth next season, at all costs, and we need to hope for that" said one fan.

However, following a 4-2 loss in their last league game against Loser Patrol, the Ontario Alpha Particles hosted a tough Shinodas soccer club. To the dismay of everyone cheering for the yellow and black, the Alphas dropped the decision 5-1.

Police were on hand once the score became 3-0 to control any potential rioting. The score only went downhill from there. Fans were escorted out after item after item was hurled at the bench. Chants erupted shouting "Choke Choke Choke". Players heads hung low as their spirits were crushed.

During the post-game press conference, manager canucks357 was unable to speak for the first 30 minutes. Media and fans were yelling questions, their voices deep in rage. The owner and manager of the Alphas left and returned a 20 minutes later to a smaller, more calm crowd. The sad thing is, the Alphas dominated the game, blasting 20 shot attempts at the opposing team's cage. However, all five of Shinodas' attempts that found the target found the back of the net.

"My friends, we have failed" he said. "We put all our hopes and dreams into a final-4 placement in this season's National Cup. It has come at the expense of our league play. I fear now that we will both relegate to the second division and with certainty we will not participate, yet again, in an international cup."

There was a slight choking in his voice as the words hurt as they left his mouth. One reporter asked, "Any comments on how you and the team are feeling right now?"

"Like a team that just got our ^&*(ing %^$es handed to us! It was embarrassing. I can promise the fans drastic changes. I am hesitant to promise results this season, but given time, the team will be successful in the long run. Just stay with us" said canucks357.

"Many fans are calling for your resignation. They fell you have single-handedly put the team in this position. I mean, you had a team that barely missed out on the Champions' League last season and you went and unload some of the key components to that success. They want answers!"

"No decision was made without due diligence and thought. We have always planned for the long-term, and will continue to do so. We sold some key components, sure. But we still had a strong club."

"No comment on your potential resignation?"

"I never said anything about resigning. Thus I will neither confirm nor deny those allegations."

Suddenly the media room erupted. canucks357 left as they were all clamoring for answers. On his way out of the locker room, goalkeeper Pemberton was interviewed briefly by this reporter.

"Obviously surrendering 5 goals is something an elite goalkeeper doesn't do. I have no excuses. It simply was a game we needed, and I didn't do enough to ensure our team's success. We needed saves early, I didn't provide them. I'm the experienced guy in this room, I need to be better" said Pemberton. "It certainly didn't help that we were dominating play and they scored on all five of their shots on target. It's unacceptable. I have nothing more to say."

While management has long declared Pemberton and others in the starting eleven untouchable, many will question how much of a shakeup is coming at Curium-244 Place. Surely some players will be sold. The question is who? And what about management? Any drastic changes there? Will the fans have their way and have canucks357 removed? Or will he resurrect the club as he has done the past few years with his hockey franchise?
