Radek Mertlik scores the lone goal that wins it for the Griffins. They take over 15th spot overall. Mertlik said "I just sent the strike to the net hoping for a good result I got one!" That was Mertlik's 5th goal of the season his second after coming back from his injury. The Griff's have won three straight looking for some late season heroics. GM Liam Bevan exclaimed "The boys have done great lately I think it has something to do with the Slovakian mid fielder we brought in." Bill Lajoie made one save in the match coming back from his little finger fracture. The back up goal keeper said he was impressed with the way Lajoie played and was happy that he was back on the field instead of up in the press box watching.
