January 17, 2010 (BARRIE) - cwakes, president and general manager of SmoothDolphin Sports and Entertainment gave a press conference this morning to talk about the excitement of a new season in a new league and the expectations from fans building on last season’s championship III.4. “ We are ready for this new league, we are excited to meet the challenges and the many, many good teams in this league. We expect to be a contender, I will accept nothing less, and our fans can look at our continued investment in our training facilities, which are amongst the most advanced in the country and frankly, the world. Our stadium is state of the art and we expect to add an additional 4000 seats by mid season. This will be an exciting season and I, like the ‘Dolphin Nation, can’t wait for the game this afternoon.” When asked if the ‘Dolphins were looking forward to being in the same league as their arch-rivals, The Grassmen, cwakes just smiled and muttered something that rhymed with “grASSmen” that made the front two rows of media laugh.

cwakes also announced the return of last season’s popular menu item at the John Candy Field, the “Lamontagne Lemon Pie”, a tasty fruit pie named after the superstar striker who led the III.3 league last season with 34 goals.
