October 14, 2010 (BARRIE) - cwakes, president and general manager of SmoothDolphin Sports and Entertainment announced a well deserved day off for the ‘Dolphins FC Friday, one day after the boys rose to 1st place in the III.4 division. Brushing of rumours in the press that the day off is in fact a result of team management forgetting to schedule a friendly, cwakes pressed that “SS&E couldn’t be prouder of the team and the wonderful job Coach Armstrong has done to weld this team into a winning unit. At this point last year, we had just won our first game after an embarrassing 5 game losing streak. Coach Armstrong has done a helluva job creating team spirit here and using the tools I have given him to climb to 1st place. We are excited for this season and can’t wait to give the 10,000+ fans a game at the John Candy Field something to be proud of over the next 34 games.”
cwakes also announced a new menu item at the John Candy Field, the “Lamontagne Lemon Pie”, a tasty fruit pie named after the superstar striker who so far, has 8 goals in 8 games.
