Sitting here in my office I can look back at the season with a great deal of pride. The team stepped up considerablly from their first season, from 9th place last year to 5th this year.

It could so easily have been third place with us only needing just one point extra. When we look back; the game that sticks in our mind was that penalty miss in week 8 that would have given us (eventually) the third place spot. But I'm sure everyone has a similar tale to tell. !

Highlights for us was our amazing striker, Vaclav Bobik who went from strength to strength throughout the season and scored an amazing 72 goals. And when we bought him he was considered our second striker !

Our wingers were outstanding again and our 'bargain' goalie, Andrea Polonini secured the clean sheets award.

AFC Beddington Park as a whole concentrated on fixing up the stadium to a reasonable capacity as we thought it was time we moved out of the dark ages !

Not so much transfer activity to report this time. We brought in a couple of talented central midfielders and a new centre-back who managed to dislocate his collarbone the day he arrived !

And so, we move forward. Hopefully next season we'll see some silverware. I think it's time
