Leyton Orient FC† - Happy 12-O's - Perfect start for the O's.
London, May 13th 2011 – After a season of going down quietly without too much fuss, the O’s have been able to regroup and sort out the injuries amongst them. With the start of the new season, in a tier lower, they have already shown what they are made of with a flying start. Six points out of six, but with no goals against. They are trailing on ‘manchester party’, who appears to be floating without direction due to the lack of a manager, on one point in goal difference.
Alexander Lowenart is confident that they will catch them up at some point, and speaks of a new go at the tier they just came from. “Yes, I know we can do it. But then, what will happen next season? Going straight back down again? I would be pleased with second place and to lose in the play-offs. Having said that, of course we owe it to the fans and the respect to the opponents to play every match at our best. That is our East-London commitment.” –a clear statement from Alexander.
With the arrival of Tyler Speed, the O’s have sold their first full English goalkeeper, Owen Miah. Miah will be playing for a Serbian side from now on. Also Adam Howard and Joseph Page are on the transfer list, waiting to see if they will keep a career or if their contract will just be terminated. Some more joyous news, the welcoming of Josh Sharpe, Shaun Holloway (both defenders), Edward Cook (midfielder), Jonathon Grideley (striker) have been warm. Shaun has made it into the Team of the Day after the first match (together with Rhys Aldridge) –both defenders. For the second team of the day, the forwards Jonathon and Connor (McGreal) made the team, accompanied by defender Martin Dodd. It sure already looks a promising season.
