Kanada Ontario Alpha Particles - Nuclei News: Season 2, Edition 1: A Season in Review and the Season to Come

It was a short 112 days ago when the Ontario Alpha Particles led by Z. Pemberton to the pitch played their first ever franchise game. They would win the friendly 1-0 against Stoney Creek Hotspur and would continue their stellar play into their first season and would eventually find themselves finishing second in the top Canadian division. Jacob Hodge and Ethan Purdon led the scoring each with 6 goals, all-be-it Hodge had 6 in 13 games compared to Purdon's 6 in 37 games. Forward Cade Bryan was the team's goon, picking up 10 yellow cards. The OAP's went all season without picking up a red card. The most impressive feat was the fact OAP gave up a mere 16 goals in 42 games last season. Their stellar defensive play is the key-stone to their success. However, there is lots to improve on for the season to come.

The Particles were a massive disappointment in the National Cup. They were ranked #1 going into the tournament but failed to make any sort of impact making an early exit. It would however allow them to focus their efforts on season play which has allowed them to compete this season in the Champion's League international tournament. The Particles will face the likes of many top squads and it will work wonders building the club's reputation around the world and at home to their fans.

Season two will start today, Tuesday, as the Particles face new arrivals to I.1 Bordeaux. Bordeaux may actually be considered favourites but surely home field will play some form of an advantage for the Particles. The tough start to the season also includes Flower City who finished 3rd in I.1 last season as well as last season's winner of I.1. To ease up the pain of their potentially tough few games to start, the Particles also face two noname teams to round of the top 5.

The season surely promises excitement and will certainly be closer then the last. Fans are excited. Merchandise has been sold out across the town as fans purchase their new OAP kits. The star players for OAP are back from two weeks of training camp and are looking eager and ready to get back to work.
