Champagne was popped open at Coxcombe Lane last night as Chiddingfold Challengers were crowned champions after going the entire league season unbeaten.
When Interviewed, the manager said 'I'm so proud of the boys, they deserve to savour this before going on to the challenge of competing amongst the best teams in the country. We have steadily built a football club that is more than capable of holding their own both on and off the pitch amongst the elite. I'm confident that the long term plan we have had in place for the last few seasons will stand us in good stead and we will go on to be one of the best teams in England, Europe and around the globe. Good luck in the play off to FC SHAMMICKITE who pushed us all the way this season and to Bridgeburners and Cavendish both of whom I'm sure a promotion is just around the corner'.
