Канада Nagoya† - Tough day on the pitch for New comers.

Nagoya Grampus Tweenty has finial played in second league match since new manager Robert Bouchard has taken over the reins and still without a coach he has also filled this void but it would cost his team on this day.

Nagoya played Arizona Sharks, who started the day in 20th overall in the league some four place behind Nagoya making it a pivotal match as both teams try to make the play-offs and stay out of the relegation zone.

Nagoya was on the heels right from the start as the team gave up three glorious chance in the first ten minutes of play but were able to hold off the strong attack of the Sharks with two highlight reel saves by Eddie Furrows keeping the score deadlocked.

Nagoya seemed to wake up at this point as the team quick counter attacks towards the Sharks goal with Willingford getting a prefect cross from team mate Garland but nugs it just past the post with a mistimed header. Second later Dresser would hit the post off the ensuing corner.

Play would continue back and forth with both teams getting good chance in the remaining part of the half but all coming to not in the end.

Interesting moment during the 37' minute when teams would swap hard challenges back forth setting up would could be a very interesting second half after Tornhill (Sharks) took down Archambault (Nagoya) and retaliation would happen seconds later when Mobley (Nagoya) would take down Zhang(Sharks) hard.

Nagoya would start the second half looking to take the play to the Sharks with three glorious chance to score but just couldn't find the back of the net.

All would change after Dresser was give a questionable yellow card on a 50-50 ball played off a goal kick by the sharks keeper Carmody as he battled in air with Haines. Haines would grab his face on the 50-50 ball and Dresser was awarded a yellow card for challenging for the ball.

A few moments later Zhang with a very flagrant challenge would only receive a yellow card instead of what should have been a Red card as he took down Mobley as he started to breakaway towards the sharks goal.

Sharks would take full control of the game from that point on with three great scoring chance in a row all being turned a side by Furrows but in the 68' minute that would all change as Hawerchuk would break in on acute angle and blast a shot off Furrows gloves and into the net giving the Sharks a 1-0 lead.

Sharks would keep the presser on smelling blood after scoring the first goal of the game but they couldn't solve Furrows for the second time.

At 75' minute, Nagoya manager Robert Bouchard looked like he wanted to make a substitution but for some reason the referees would let him bring on Striker Howden to replace midfielder Showler.

"It was my mistake" commented Bouchard after the game about the none substitution. "I filled out the paperwork wrong as the paperwork stated that I was taking out Howden and replacing him with Showler so the substitution couldn't take place and I wasn't able to fix the paper work."

"This mistake could have cost us some points today and I hope that this doesn't come back to haunt us down the road." added Bouchard.

The game would end with Nagoya on their heels like they started the game unable to amount any type of attack as the sharks kept possession of the ball for most of the second.

"Overall I thought we played a good game to start." Stated Nagoya team Captain Willingford. "We had our chance but just didn't finish which gave the Sharks some life and they were able to take the play to us in the second half of the game. We need to play a full 90' minutes and today we didn't do that so we lost a game that we most likely should have won. As for Bouchards' mistake in making a sub by then it was to late and us as players on the pitch have to take full responsibilities for this one as we were just not good enough today" finished Willingford.

Next up for Nagoya Grampus Tweenty is a Home Friendly against the FC YELLOW PHARAOHS in the newly renovated Grampus Tweenty Stadium.
