FC Beddington Park fought hard last night to secure their first point for their new owners. The game ended 1:1 against Larks On a String and the fans waved their new scarves happily and even began to sing a little.

'We knew that they had a few tasty players and that it would be a hard match for us. We adjusted our tactics from what we'd normally like to do but sometimes you have to do that. They had great quality but I felt that our tactics were spot on and to be honest I felt we were the better team in the second half'. Ward said.

Beddington had some real stand out performances particularly from their young keeper Declan Thain who had a brilliant night in front of the sticks and secured his place both in the team and in the 'Team of the Week'.

Overall things are looking up for the new team in III.5
