The Bohol Raiders won their first major title winning the National Cup of Asia 2-1 over league rival Internacional of Kazakhstan.

Coach David Cox commented: It was an outstanding effort by all our boys today, but particularly our goalie Nikanor Zhamojdzin. He played simply magnificently today. He's clearly the top goalie in the league and he showed it with that final huge save in the penalty shoot out.

We will now move on to our next goal and that to try to secure the division 1 championship of Asia. This will not be easy as we are again locked in a dead heat with Internacional. They are a very good club and have played excellent football all year.

Finally, we want to assure our competition while thrilled on this day, we will keep our heads out of the sky, remaining focused and down to earth. There's too many great clubs in Asia playing very good football that are just about ready to contend.
