FC Wittmund had won their last group match against Vyskov with 1:0. The match was average and FC Wittmund had more offensive control over the match. Vyskov had only a few goal chances, but failed at the Wittmund-goalkeeper. With that FC Wittmund will advance as place 1 in the to the playoffs.

For the playoffs all qualified teams will be ranked according to points in the group phase and then goal difference. FC Wittmund is placed second and will pay in the quarter finals against the seventh ranked team, which is Vyskov, again.

The quarterfinals will be played over two legs.

The FC Wittmund trainer Erwin Mack commented to this match pairing: "I'm not sure, if this is a good or a bad thing, but we will have 2 difficult matches against Vyskov. After two matches in the group phase, we know enough about each other. We both want to advance to the seimifinal. One mistake in the match could decide everything."

"I thought after the 1:0 victory yesterday we were even, but now this ...", said Wittmund-striker Emil Merk wryly about the match pairing.

The two teams are more or less equal in terms of team power. We hope there will be two exiting and entertaining matches instead of two boring tactical ones. In addition we will cheer on FC Wittmund to advance to the semifinal, of course.
