Newly acquired Polish striker Remigiusz Galinski scored the winning goal in the 50th minute in a stirring 2-0 victory over the Mighty Lions.

The 18 year old Galinski was not scheduled to start but was pushed into the after fellow Polish striker Gregorz Bielsczuk was suspended due to yellow cards.

Coach David Cox commented, "What was especially satisfying for the Raiders is they did it the hard way. The last three matches of the tournament were against 3 of the leagues toughest clubs: Bavaria, The Georgians and today The Lions".

"The Club will now concentrate on closing the door on the Division 1 Championship. We do hold a large 10 point lead, but we will take nothing for granted. We know there are many very good clubs out there who would love to take us down. Were not going to let this happen."

"Finally one thing we know for sure is next year things are going to get a lot tougher. We have a lot great growing teams in this league and several more will be promoting next season. Next year will be a real battle."
