FC Wittmund's fifth group match against Exercitus was one of the better matches they have played in the tournament, it was at least entertaining.

In the first half FC Wittmund had the advantage and gained quickly the lead in the 27th minute thanks to Wittmund defender Falko Herbersdorf, after a missed penalty in the 2nd minute by forward Erich Große. After two more goals by FC Wittmund forward Bogdan Witecki (29. minute) and midfielder Jan Mallmann (33. minute), the first half ended with a 3:0 lead for FC Wittmund. It seemed like the match was over for Exercitus, but in the second half they started to gain more momentum. In the 51st minute Exercitus got a penalty and midfielder Miguel Cruz scored. Midfielder Adam Stampe shortened the score to 3:2 in the 61st minute. After this, FC Wittmund began to play more defensive and some Wittmund player looked a bit nervous. Exercitus intensified their offensive attack, but failed at the FC Wittmund defense and goalkeeper. Unexpected the Wittmund defender Nikolaus Gassmann scored the 4:2 final score. One could argue that the last goal was a bit flattering for FC Wittmund, if you look at the second half.

Vyskov had only reached a draw and need a win in their next match against FC Wittmund to advance as 1st place in the group. Vyskov also have now reached the playoffs and the other two teams have no theoretical chances anymore.

Group 2 and 3 are still quite open, only each last place have no chance to reach the playoffs now.

In Group 4 FK Topoľany has secured it first place and will most likely march to the playoffs without any defeat. Second place Chorobáci needs only a draw to advance to the playoffs. JWH Kazakhs ib third place has only theoretical chances to advance to the playoffs. They need to win their next match against FK Topoľany and Chorobáci has to loose. Also the goal difference of 3 goals has to be adressed.

Now FC Wittmund has their last group game against Vyskov and they will play for place one in the group. FC Wittmund needs only a draw, but that was something that didn't work well in the first leg.

It will depend on what opponent FC Wittmund will get in the playoffs, but more than the next round might not be in for us.
