Coach David Cox held a brief morning press conference to announce the release and induction to the Raider Hall of fame of veteran goalie Nikanor Zhamojdzin.

The native of Belarus who already played 25 regular games for the Raiders this season was expected to be lost to free agency at the end of the season. The club decided to release him him early due to the 50.000 dollar a day roster over limit penalty.

The move was made more urgent be today's signing of Nikita Belyaev of Russia. The highly experienced 20 year old completes a trio of 3 young high potential keepers.

"As coach of the Bohol Raiders, I want to thank my friend Nikanor on his 10 great seasons of service. He is the last Raider player to have played from the very 1st season. He was the defensive backbone that brought us our Division 1 and National Cup Championships. He is well deserving of being the first member of the Bohol Raider Hall of Fame. I wish him and his family well."

Zhamojdzin will be honored and inducted into the Hall of Fame in a small ceremony before Wednesdays Champions League game against the Aztecs of Mexico.
