Well the season is over half way finished. The boys Down in HM Prison Oxford have been hard at work doing time. Be in in the training room or in the yard. On the pitch or digging a ditch, they are trying to prove their worth. But prison director Aowyr isn't as chippy.
"These hooligans were one of the roughest rowdiest bunches at league launch. They made their opponents tremble. Be in in league games or practice games with other teams. We made em scared. We were the second highest ranked team in all of Canada. And boy have we fallen apart."
What P.M. Aowyr is talking about is his teams now cautious style of play due to the large number of carding which lead to a string of losses. Also what seems to be an in ability to find the mesh. An average of .8 goals for per game they have one of the highest amount of draws in their league. The bonus is their .6 goals against average due to stellar performances by keepers Émile Jones and now Yevgeniy Suvorov, a Russian immigrant who was sentenced for auto theft.
And now the team was granted permission to take part in an international tournament "WSL I - World Soccer League I" which features teams predominantly from eastern Europe. It is a great opportunity for the boys to get out and hopefully turn their lives around.
But until then, there is a constant stream of new "talent" moving into the prison. Most of whom have been lackluster, but there will be a diamond in the rough. And when he is found, he will be dressed up in the white and black!
