The Nightwatch† - Another Day, Another PR Statement
The Nightwatch continue their solid start to life in Division 2 with a 2-0 home win over FC Dodo. In front of a partisan home crowd that included PM David Cameron. The Crows came out from a tough first half to take an early 2nd half lead through top scorer Ivan Daxner. Thilo Opper added a 2nd shortly after to the delight of manager WillieSamlls. We caught up with Willie for a chat.
"It was a tough match today, against a strong team with vast experience in this division. We began the game slowly but a few tactical changes at half time gave us the impetus to take control of the match. Of course it is great when your strikers are scoring goals, it gives the whole team confidence. Thursday will be an entirely different challenge, Shammickite are a very strong team and any result there will be fantastic for the team going forward. I hope the fans enjoyed their first taste of competition this season, I'd also like to wish good luck to David in the election, he will always have my vote".
