Marion BlueRacers† - BlueRacers are stuck in the slow lane
With Season 7 half over, we see our Blueracers struggling with a dismal 1 win and 2 draws out of the first 23 games and are presently near the bottom of the league.
We caught up with GM Himanoco to get some of his take on the way this season is shaping up after last seasons overwhelming success.
"It's really disheartening," said an unusally stoic Himanoco. "These boys really don't deserve this and it's just hurting our opportunity to grow as a team. Sponsers are asking questions I can't answer.
"We spent a lot of time on the facilities and with an average player age of around 18 we're going to get these boys competitive at this level as quickly as we can.
"A part of me is hoping for relegation back to an easier league but another part of me is hoping to stay because I think that we can get up the ranks in a couple of seasons. But like I said, it's disheartening to show up to the games week after week knowing we're going to have a long day with a team that's just a lot more talented than we are.
"Could I have done more last season? Probably. I'll admit that my main focus was our Steamengine (hockey) team and it is showing, as they are off and running in their season. I said a few times last season that I din't pay a lot of attention over here because I didn't have to; things were coming easy for us last season and maybe I was a little spoiled. I won't let it happen again."
We'll keep watching and see if our team can salvage anything out of this season.
